An up and down weekend at Donington Park at the weekend saw the CFMOTO UK team claim another 8 podiums despite very changeable conditions. Tommy Downes rode brilliantly to take two wins and two 2nd places in the No Limits Racing Standard Twins class as he continues to lead the championship after round 6. Despite having an issue in qualifying that saw him start race one at the back of the grid, Tommy battled his way through the pack to finish the opening race 2nd in class. The CFMOTO 650 standard twin race bike performed well throughout the weekend and used Bridgestone tyres which gave more grip and better performance in the wet.

Gary Johnson rejoined the team as he continues to develop the CFMOTO 700 supertwin race machine in preparation for the 2022 Isle of Man TT. Gary finished the opening race in 2nd place and followed up with two 3rd places and another 2nd place in the final race of the weekend. Gary and the team are pleased with how the bike is progressing and had the opportunity to test the bike in wet race conditions too.

The team were pleased to welcome back 44Teeth’s Chris Eades who missed the last two race events. Chris instantly gelled with the bike and made a good start to the weekend, finishing the first race with a 4th place in the Supertwin class, narrowly missing out on a podium finish. Unfortunately Chris’ luck changed and he crashed out of the second and third races, eventually deciding to sit out of the final race of the weekend.

The CFMOTO UK team will be back in action on 18/19th September at Cadwell Park. Make sure you check out the brilliant range of exciting and affordable CFMOTO motorcycles with a 4-year warranty and 0% finance, click the button below to see more.
