A British Adventure in China: The CFMOTO Classics Experience

Visiting CFMOTO Headquarters in China

For most riders, visiting CFMOTO headquarters in China is something they can only dream about. But for this year’s CFMOTO Classics competition winners, Ashley Willcox and Mark Lander, that dream became reality.

Joined by CFMOTO UK brand ambassador, Cammy (@thesheepgamevlog), Chris Paddon from CFMOTO UK, and Ashley’s girlfriend, mechanic Madison Burley, the group travelled to Hangzhou to take part in the CFMOTO Classics China Experience — a once in a lifetime trip to the heart of the CFMOTO brand.

The week-long event brought together more than 80 CFMOTO owners, dealers, and media representatives from 15 countries.

Behind the scenes at CFMOTO HQ

The first stop was CFMOTO’s enormous 410-acre headquarters in Hangzhou. The visit offered a fascinating behind the scenes look at how CFMOTO ATVs and UTVs are built, from the research and design labs to the state-of-the-art production lines.

“It’s incredible to see the scale of it,” said Ashley. “You can tell that every single part of a CFMOTO machine is thought through, tested, and refined. Seeing the people who design and build them gives you a whole new respect for what goes into it.”

The group toured the four-wheel and two-wheel assembly areas, explored the research and development facilities, and saw the impressive automation process that connects CFMOTO’s global manufacturing network. The scale of operations, with production and R&D sites in China, Europe, Thailand, Mexico, and the United States, highlighted just how far CFMOTO has come as a world leader in powersports.

Hands on with the future of off-road riding

No CFMOTO event would be complete without some off-road action. The guests spent a day putting the latest machines through their paces, including the all-electric UFORCE U6 EV and the UFORCE U10 PRO HIGHLAND.

“It was an unreal experience,” said Mark. “The UFORCE U10 PRO really stood out. It’s a proper workhorse but still smooth and comfortable. You can tell it’s been designed with the end user in mind.”

The group also got an exclusive preview of several unreleased ATV models, offering an exciting glimpse into CFMOTO’s next generation of off-road vehicles.

A global community united by CFMOTO

For Cammy from The Sheep Game, who has represented CFMOTO UK for several years, the trip was about far more than just the machines.

“The sense of community was amazing,” said Cammy. “You’ve got riders from all over the world, but everyone’s connected by the same passion for the outdoors. For me, getting away from the sheep farm isn’t easy, but this trip really showed how CFMOTO builds machines that suit every lifestyle, whether you’re farming in Scotland or exploring trails in China. It’s all about getting the job done and enjoying the ride while you do it.”

That spirit was felt throughout the CFMOTO Classics storytelling and awards ceremony, where riders shared their journeys and experiences with the brand. From Canadian farmers introducing their kids to off-roading to Czech couples exploring 13 countries on their ATVs, each story highlighted how CFMOTO connects people across borders and backgrounds.

Exploring Hangzhou and Shanghai

The adventure wasn’t all work and no play. Between test rides, factory tours, and cultural experiences, the group explored Hangzhou’s famous West Lake, took in Shanghai’s skyline, and sampled traditional Chinese dishes.

“The hospitality was outstanding,” said Chris Paddon from CFMOTO UK. “Every detail was thought through. It wasn’t just a factory visit. It was a cultural experience and a reminder of the pride and passion that drives the CFMOTO brand around the world.”

Madison, who joined Ashley on the trip, added: “As a mechanic, seeing how CFMOTO builds these machines up close was inspiring. The engineering, the attention to detail, and the factory testing was seriously impressive.”

A trip to remember

Now back home in the UK, Ashley, Madison, Mark, Cammy, and Chris all agree the trip was unforgettable. From the immense scale of CFMOTO’s Hangzhou facility to the warmth of the people, it gave them a new appreciation of what makes CFMOTO a true global family.

“The whole experience just reinforced what CFMOTO stands for,” said Ashley. “Innovation, community, and adventure. We’ve come home inspired and with new friends from all over the world.”

As the CFMOTO Classics China Experience ended, one thing was clear. CFMOTO is about more than machines. It’s about the people, the passion, and the shared love of adventure that unites every rider.

Because when you ride with CFMOTO, you really do Experience More Together.
