CFMOTO Aspar Team battles at the front in thrilling British Grand Prix
Holgado fights for Moto2 victory as Morelli narrowly misses the Moto3 points at Silverstone

The CFMOTO Aspar Team enjoyed a dramatic weekend at Silverstone, with Dani Holgado fighting for Moto2 victory until the final lap and Marco Morelli narrowly missing out on Moto3 points.
In Moto2, Dani Holgado produced one of his strongest performances of the season, charging through from seventh on the grid and taking the lead with seven laps remaining. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider remained firmly in the fight for victory until a final-lap incident with Manu González cost him several positions, leaving Holgado to cross the line in fourth place.
Despite missing the podium, the Spaniard took plenty of positives from a race in which he demonstrated front-running pace throughout. Team-mate David Alonso endured a more challenging afternoon, with a long-lap penalty following an opening-lap incident contributing to a 21st-place finish.
There was more hard-fought action for the CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team in Moto3, where Marco Morelli was the team’s sole representative following an injury to Máximo Quiles. Starting 13th on his Silverstone debut, Morelli slipped back early on before battling his way towards the points.
Even after serving a long-lap penalty for exceeding track limits, the Argentine recovered to challenge for a top-15 finish. Morelli eventually took the chequered flag in 16th, missing out on the final championship point by just 0.080 seconds.
The CFMOTO Aspar Team will now turn its attention to the next round at Aragón, looking to build on the pace shown during an action-packed British Grand Prix weekend.
