Moto Twelve National Sportbike Championship R10 Race Report

CFMOTO 675SR-R becomes the first Chinese production bike to podium at BSB!

The team headed to Brands Hatch for the 10th and final round of the 2025 Pirelli National Sportbike Championship.

It was an early start to FP1 on Friday morning and a slightly slower session than the team had hoped for, with Nixon struggling with an injury from Oulton Park. But the team were positive they could rally together for FP2 later in the afternoon, which they did, giving a combined Free Practice result of Davie in 14th and Nixon in 28th.

Nixon, although declared fit to ride on Friday morning, was still struggling with his back injury and went to the medical centre for a physio session on Friday afternoon. He was advised by the medical team to return on Saturday morning for another check-in and was unfortunately declared unfit to ride for the remainder of the weekend. This was disappointing news for Nixon and the team, but his health is the priority.

Davie was feeling positive going into the qualifying session on Saturday morning, with dry but cold track conditions. With bike and rider on top form, the qualifying session was one of the team’s best all year, resulting in a 4th place grid position for race one later that afternoon.

Throughout the 12-lap race, Davie maintained his fast pace from qualifying, sticking to the front group of riders on the track. The fast-paced race saw position changes at every turn, but Davie held his own throughout and came across the line in 6th place — another great result for the team.

The team also welcomed a visit from Tony and Callum from Build Maintain Refurb on Saturday. It was a great boost for the team having our friends and sponsors trackside cheering them on!

The weather took a turn for the worse on Sunday, with rain due at 13:00 when the final Sportbike race of the season was due to start.

Despite worsening weather conditions, Davie did the team, himself and CFMOTO proud throughout race two. Never losing sight of the front group of riders and with his sights set on a podium, Davie kept his head down and strategically waited until the final laps to make his moves.

Overtaking Championship Winner Beekmans on the final laps saw Davie race into third position. Seconds later, both Seabright and Durham ahead of him succumbed to the tricky track conditions and crashed out, leaving Davie leading the Sportbike race on the CFMOTO 675SR-R machine.

With the crowds cheering and the rain getting heavier, Davie and Beekmans kept the battle for first place going at every turn until the sprint over the finish line. Davie was beaten to first place by only 0.06 of a second, bringing the team and CFMOTO their first podium of the season.

Feels so good to be spraying champagne again and I’m so happy I could repay the Moto Twelve team for all the hard work they have put in this year and give CFMOTO their first podium for the 675SR-R. A P6 in Saturday’s race as well solidified a great final weekend.

2025 was the team and riders’ first ever season competing in the Pirelli National Sportbike Championship. The team and riders have worked incredibly hard all season, developing the CFMOTO 675SR-R machine to make it a worthy contender in the highly competitive series.
