Promoting Quad Safety with Young Farmers at NFYFC Competitions Day 2025

This July, CFMOTO UK + Ireland proudly supported the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) Competitions Day for the third consecutive year. Held on Saturday 5th July, the event brought together young farmers from across the UK to put their skills and safety knowledge to the test — and we were right there with them, alongside our valued dealer Border Plant Sales Ltd, who supplied the versatile CFMOTO CFORCE 450 for the ATV Skills competition.

This wasn’t just a day for fun and riding – it was a vital learning experience focused on quad safety, first aid training, and real-world farming skills. Each competing team was required to include a qualified First Aider and someone holding an ATV riding certificate, ensuring that safe operation of farm ATVs remained a top priority.

Events like this play a crucial role in helping young people learn the importance of safe quad bike use in agriculture – especially as ATVs are such a key part of everyday farm life. Whether it’s livestock work, hauling feed or checking boundaries, knowing how to ride and maintain a quad safely can save lives.

The competition went beyond technical riding skills. The Farm Safety Foundation (Yellow Wellies) created a simulated farm environment, complete with hidden hazards and common safety risks, challenging competitors to identify dangers that could appear in day-to-day farm operations.

The event also featured a staged farm accident scenario, delivered by Arley Medical Services, based on a real-life incident investigated by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive). This powerful demonstration helped competitors sharpen their emergency response and first aid application in high-pressure, real-world situations.

We’d like to send a huge well done to Pembrokeshire YFC, who took the win on the day, showing a brilliant balance of skill, safety awareness and teamwork.
